HRA holds a number of annual events aimed at bringing the community together. Upcoming events include:
Free basic life saving demonstration – 2pm Saturday 20th October at Hever Village Hall. Edenbridge Community First Responders will demonstrate how to use a defibrillator and perform heart resuscitation and the Heimlich manoeuvre.
Halloween party – 3.30pm Wednesday 31st October at Hever Village Hall. £2.50 per child. This event is aimed at families with children who cannot ‘trick or treat’ along our Hever country lanes hence the after school timing.
Carol singing – Saturday 15 December at St Peter’s Church. This event is being held, as always, in conjunction with St Peter’s Church, the Parish Council and The Henry which has mulled wine and mince pies to help you warm up those singing voices.Edenbridge Town Band will be accompanying us and helping us get into the festive spirit.
Other events that have taken place this year include:
An Easter egg hunt in conjunction with St Peter’s Church.
The AGM which featured a beer tasting experience by the 2017 award winning brewer Hofmeister.
The “yarn bomb” and decoration of the village for Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s wedding. You may have seen the happy couple waiting at the bus station for the next bus to Windsor!
The inaugural Scarecrow Competition! Well done to everyone for the amazing entries, and a special congratulations to our winners – The Cahill family for their creative scarecrows “Doug Hole and Phil Lit” who won the public vote and to Jane Higgs for “Nature Lover” who won the HRA Committee vote.
We enjoyed seeing all the scarecrows around the village and had many letters and comments of appreciation from residents and visitors to Hever.
