HRA holds a number of annual events aimed at bringing the community together. Upcoming events include:

  • A Scarecrow competition, decorate the village with home-made Scarecrows and win the HRA trophy!  We’d like to get as many households as possible involved, so get the whole family thinking of some fun original ideas now.
All ages, all sizes.  All you need to do is:

    1. Make a Scarecrow over the summer
    2. Put it outside your house by 1st September
    3. Tell us you have entered by emailing your name, your Scarecrow’s name and your address to heverres@hever.org
    4. Vote for your favourite Scarecrow at the phone box on Uckfield Lane or email heverres@hever.org Voting begins on the 10th September and ends on the 23rd September.
Winners will be announced at the end of September!
  • A Halloween event, 3.30pm Wednesday 31st October at Hever Village Hall.  This event is aimed at families with children who cannot ‘trick or treat’ along our Hever country lanes hence the after school timing.
  • Carol singing on Saturday 15 December at St Peter’s Church. This event is being held, as always, in conjunction with St Peter’s Church, the Parish Council and The Henry which has mulled wine and mince pies to help you warm up those singing voices. Edenbridge Town Band will be accompanying us and helping us get into the festive spirit.

Other events that have taken place this year include:

  • An Easter egg hunt in conjunction with St Peter’s Church.
  • The AGM which featured a beer tasting experience by the 2017 award winning brewer Hofmeister.
  • The “yarn bomb” and decoration of the village for Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s wedding. You may have seen the happy couple waiting at the bus station for the next bus to Windsor!
