Litter pick spring 2021

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who helped clear the lanes of rubbish!  We are delighted that so many of you helped.

Together we removed over 15 sacks of rubbish, including a kettle and one golf shoe!

The top three most discarded items were masks, beer cans and dog poo bags!

The 2020 Scarecrow Competition

Thank you to everyone who took part this year and entertained us with their ingenious and humorous creations.

Congratulations to the winner, Jane Hall, who gave us one of the country’s 2020 heroes “Ground Control to Captain Tom” complete with a plane above him and medals on his breast pocket.

A special thank you goes to the children at Hever School who made five fabulous crows.

VE 75 celebrations

Unfortunately in the current environment we took the decision not to go ahead with our planned VE 75 celebrations.  However, thanks to The Henry and The Scott Partnership we did manage to light the beacon to commemorate all those who served in WWII.

This is a taste of what we did in 2019…

Family Christmas Carols

Once again this was held in conjunction with St Peter’s Church, the Parish Council and the Henry.  Edenbridge Town Band accompanied us and helped us get into the festive spirit.

Thanks to you, we also donated £88.50 to the Hospice in the Weald Charity.

A Halloween Party

Thank you to all the magnificent helpers who helped make the Halloween Party so Spooktacular this year.  We had over 70 children enjoying the games, crafts, pumpkin carving, face painting and cake making.

Scarecrow Competition

Once again we were amazed by the fabulous entries.  Please see here for the 2019 Photo Gallery of all the amazing Scarecrows.

An Easter egg hunt

Children great and small were welcomed at the Church to hunt for some delicious eggs!

Our 2018 events included:

Family Christmas Carols

Held in conjunction with St Peter’s Church, the Parish Council and the Henry which had mulled wine and mince pies to help you warm up those singing voices.  Edenbridge Town Band accompanied us and helped us get into the festive spirit.

Thank you to Edenbridge Community First Responders who demonstrated how to use a defibrillator and perform heart resuscitation and the Heimlich manoeuvre.

Thank you also to everyone who came, the more of us who have these skills in our community the better for us all.

Well done to everyone for the amazing entries, and a special congratulations to our winners:

The Cahill family for their creative scarecrows who won the public vote; and
